About Reformed Theological Seminary

Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) is a Reformed seminary founded in 1966 to serve the church by preparing its leaders through graduate theological education based upon the authority of the inerrant Word of God and committed to the Reformed faith.

RTS has eight campuses from New York City to Washington, D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta, Jackson, Orlando, Dallas, and Houston, along with extension sites in Nashville and Chicago and global education options.

RTS offers degree programs such as the Master of Divinity, several Master of Arts degrees in biblical and theological studies, counseling, and religion, as well as degrees like the Doctor of Ministry and Master of Theology.

The challenge: Grow online recurring giving across 8 campuses

RTS has a long‑time donor base that is comfortable writing checks, but the team wanted to increase the share of giving that happens online and to grow its base of recurring monthly givers using its online giving portal.

Along the way, the seminary faced several challenges:

  • Needed to serve long‑time supporters who prefer sending checks over giving online
  • Needed to reach younger audiences and encourage them to give online for the first time
  • Needed to create dedicated donation pages for each campus with their own tracking
  • Needed to prompt giving in the moment during events and through digital campaigns and social media

What’s next

The team plans to use its Anedot–HubSpot connection more fully to communicate with online givers, distinguish between one‑time and recurring donors, and invite one‑time donors to consider becoming monthly supporters.
